Terms of Use

OpenConvertVideo is a free tool that converts video entirely inside your browser. By using it you agree to these terms. In short: the tool is provided as-is, and you are responsible for the content you convert.

Provided “as is”

The tool is offered free of charge and without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that conversions will be error-free, that output quality will suit your needs, or that the service will always be available or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenConvertVideo and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the tool — including lost, corrupted, or unusable files, or any indirect or consequential damages. Always keep a copy of your original files before converting.

Your content is your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the files you convert. You must own the content or otherwise have the right to use it, and you must not use the tool to process material that is unlawful or that infringes the copyright or other rights of anyone else. Because conversion happens entirely on your device, we never receive, review, or store your files.

Acceptable use

Use the tool only for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service, or to misuse it in ways that harm others. It is intended for ordinary personal and business video conversion.

Third-party services

The site is supported by third-party advertising and an optional “buy me a coffee” link. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The converter page itself carries no ads, by design.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the tool means you accept the current version, which is always the one shown on this page.
